Huawei E5771 Mobile WiFi Plus Review

You may have known Huawei mobile WiFi Pro E5770, which has a large battery capacity and could reach peak download speed to 150mbps. And up to 11 devices could connect o Huawei E5770 simultaneously through WiFi. Here now, there is a brother model Huawei E5771 available, which is also called “Huawei Mobile WiFi Plus”.

As a new 4G mobile Router, Huawei E5771 is similar to Huawei E5770 in the technical specifications. It’s a LTE Category 4 mobile hotspot which could achieve peak download speed to 150mbps and upload speed to 50mbps. Unlike Huawei E5770, there is no LED screen on the front, only Huawei logo and the power button on the front. The touch feel of the body is good. On the back, the number indicates 9600mAh battery capacity, which is almost double of the E5770 battery capacity.

On the edge at the power button side, there are USB In & Out ports for 5V/2A. The USB out port is to charge other electronic devices such as smartphones, tablets etc while the In port is for power charging for the Huawei E5771 itself. At the top side edge, there are 5 small indicators, one for data transfer and the rest four for power status. The total design of Huawei E5771 is very simple and classic. I personally like it!

The large battery is built-in the Huawei E5771 WiFi plus, user can open the back cover from the groove at the left side corner. On the inner body, we can see more information about the device, such model number, power output and input, IMEI & S/N number, battery capacity, WLAN network (SSID) name and password, admin IP address and password. There is also a QR code which can be scanned and connect to the device through smartphones. It’s also showed the Huawei Technologies Limited and Made in China.

The button has a “Hi” word, which is also a LED indicator. It indicates different network status by colors. In Green, it means network signal is very good, but in yellow, it means weak signal. If in red, there is no network service available, and if in blue, it means the device connect the network via WLAN.

There is a SIM card slot and Micro SD card slot available in the Huawei E5771 Mobile WiFi Plus. The E5771 MiFi uses Micro SIM card. Users can connect to the device and share the files and documents in the SD card. The Reset button is also available beside the two slots. Users can reset the Huawei E5771 to factory default by pressing the button.

With the Huawei E5771, the manufacturer also provides the USB cable and power adapter. The design of the USB cable is interesting, it can be folded and be the sling for Huawei E5771.

In summary, the Huawei E5771 has two advantages than other similar 4G mobile WiFi hotspots:

  1. Large battery capacity of 9600mAh, which can keep working for long time and charge other electronic devices as a power bank
  2. It can be used in around 30 countries/areas without any limit for high speed network connection

It’s a practical mobile router for global use. But the mainstream of the mobile hotspots is with touch screen, where user can operate or setup the router via screen. It’s a pity Huawei E5771 doesn’t have this feature. If you prefer a mobile router with touch screen, you may check the Huawei E5787 LTE Cat6 mobile hotspot. Anyhow, Huawei E5771 is still a very good 4G pocket router and highly recommended!

Huawei Present Mate 9 New Smartphone With Leica Dual Camera

Huawei presented the new smartphone Huawei Mate 9 a few days ago, with a huge 5.9 inch display and a dual camera, developed with Leica. As the successor of the Huawei Mate 8, Huawei Mate 9 follows the design of Mate 8 and no big change. Technically speaking, Huawei is using state-of-the-art technology, so the new HiSilicon Kirin 960 Octa-Core processor is used. The modem allows speeds of up to 600 MBit/s in the downlink based on LTE category 12. Highlight is the camera with two sensors and hybrid zoom. In addition, a Porsche Design Edition of the Huawei Mate 9 with Curved AMOLED Display was presented. huawei-mate-9-2 Metal body with 2.5D glass The Huawei Mate 9 has a metal body and is offered in the colors Space Gray, Moonlight Silver, Champagne Gold, Mocha Brown, Ceramic White and Black. Above and below, a thin plastic strip is visible instead of metal in order to optimize the performance of the mobile radio antennas. The glass above the display is rounded to the sides, which is also called 2.5D glass. The display is 5.9 inches in size and provides a full-HD resolution (1920 x 1080 pixels). Compared to the competition, display resolution is somewhat lower but come to the battery, the runtime to good.   huawei-mate-9-7 Android 7 and EMUI 5 Before we take a closer look at the hardware of the Huawei Mate 9, we have a few words about the software. Huawei delivers the Mate 9 with the latest version of Android 7, along with the well-known Huawei EMUI user interface, which, in addition to a different design compared to original Android, offers significantly more functions. On the Mate 9, EMUI version 5 is being used for the first time, which has been improved compared to the current version 4.1 and is to be more efficient and even easier to use. huawei-mate-9-6 Leica Dual Camera Like the Huawei P9, the Huawei Mate 9  comes thus with a dual camera that was developed in cooperation with Leica. This time, however, this is the second generation of the technology, which is equipped with a hybrid zoom. The backside main camera has two sensors installed: a 20 megapixel monochrome sensor and a 12 megapixel color sensor. For fast focusing, a hybrid autofocus and an optical image stabilizer to prevent blurred pictures. Videos can record in 4K resolution through the back camera, and the LED flash is two-color. The front camera of the Huawei Mate 9 has a resolution of up to 8 megapixels and also has an autofocus. huawei-mate-9-5 Fast processor and LTE Cat12 The Mate 9 is the first Huawei smartphone to be with the new HiSilicon Kirin 960 chipset. The SoC is the first with ARM Cortex A73 processor architecture and Mali G71 graphics core and is to score at a very good performance in comparison to the competition from Apple, Qualcomm and Mediatek. The processor offers four cores each with a maximum of 2.4 GHz clock rate for high-performance applications and an additional 4x 1.8 GHz cores for energy-saving work. The working memory is 4 gigabytes in size for the Mate 9. huawei-mate-9-1 The radio modules are also equipped with the latest technology. In addition to Bluetooth 4.2, the Mate 9 also supports NFC and WLAN 802.11ac on 2.4 and 5 Gigahertz. The LTE modem of the Huawei Mate 9 operates at speeds of up to 600 Mbps in the downlink, while the following LTE frequency ranges are supported for worldwide use: * FDD LTE band 1 / B2 / B3 / B4 / B5 / B7 / B18 / B19 / B12 / B26 / B28 / B29 * TDD LTE band 38 / B39 / B40 / B41   Dual SIM version available Huawei will offer the Mate 9 in a single SIM version and a dual SIM version. Both versions come with 64 gigabytes of internal memory and can be extended by MicroSD memory card by up to 2 terabytes, the dual SIM version allows, however, the use of a second Nano-SIM card instead of the MicroSD memory card. The dual SIM version is a so-called hybrid slot, which does not allow the simultaneous use of MicroSD and two SIM cards. huawei-mate-9-3 Exclusive: Porsche Design Version In addition to the "normal" Mate 9, Huawei also introduced a Porsche Design Edition. This is not only twice as expensive, but also offers a different design and other technology. Thus, a 5.5-inch AMOLED display with qHD resolution is used, which is rounded at the sides - just as you would know from the Samsung Galaxy S7 edge. The memory is also 6GB slightly larger than the normal Mate 9 and there is a separate hardware home button, which is displayed only by software in the display in the normal device. The Porsche Design Edition will remain exclusive due to the extremely high price and sales exclusively through Porsche Design Stores. huawei-mate-9-4 Prices and availability The Huawei Mate 9 is now available in online store. We offer the dual SIM version. In addition to the usual accessories such as charging adapters and headphones, you will also find a protective cover. The Huawei Mate 9 in the Porsche Design Edition will be sold from the end of December 2016 in Porsche Design Stores.

Huawei Nova – New Smartphone in Test

At the IFA 2016 in Berlin, Huawei presented the Nova. The mid-class smartphone is intended to offer a very good equipment at a moderate price, which would be expected in the upper class. The basic data: a 5 inch full-HD display, a high-quality metal body, Octa-Core processor, 3GB RAM and 12 megapixel camera with 4K video recording. The Huawei Nova is also one of the medium size phones in current Android smartphones and would like to appeal especially to users; many other current devices are too large.

Smart and high quality

The Huawei Nova is delivered in a smart cardboard box. The foil, in which the nova is wrapped up, gives some initial information about setting up and using the SIM card format. In addition to the smartphone, you will also find a power supply unit with USB connection (output: 5V / 2A) as well as a USB Type C cable, which can be used both for charging and data transmission. A simple stereo headset is also included.

When I first had the Huawei nova in my hand, I was directly taken by the handy and high-quality case. The device consists largely of metal and is rounded to the sides. The display glass is also very rounded ("2.5D glass") and is therefore not only chic, but also beautiful to touch. Maybe the nova with its 5 inch display is a little too small for some users, but for most users, it would be a good compromise of display size and handiness. A small detail is the nova often noticed: the power button is the only button on the edge with a thin red strip, which looks very beautiful according to the angle of view.

Highlight: the display!

Besides the successful design, the display is the absolute highlight for me at Huawei Nova. It is a 5 inch IPS display with a resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels. The representation is extremely sharp and the colors are very lively. Due to the slight rounding to the edge and by the very good luminosity, the display sometimes appears as printed. By comparison with expensive high-end smartphones like the Apple iPhone 6s, Huawei Nova is still very compatitive!   Thanks to the Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 Octa-Core processor and 3GB memory, the operation is very smooth and fast - just as you would imagine. The nova is still based on Android 6, but an update to Android 7 will probably follow soon. I like the EMUI user interface very much personally, because it offers significantly more functions in contrast to the "pure" Android and comes without App Drawer, ie the individual app icons are stored on the start screens.

The unlocking of the display is secure and reliable thanks to the fingerprint sensor attached to the back. Now, of course, you can argue about whether a fingerprint sensor should be positioned on the front or on the back of a smartphone, but I personally find the sensor with the Nova on the back useful and practical.

Basically, I was very satisfied with the software on the Huawei Nova as I said, a negative point I have found in the Huawei EMUI 4.1 UX however: contacts cannot be filtered so that only contacts with telephone number are represented. So I have some contacts in my Google Account, which are stored only with e-mail address, which I would not listed in my Smartphone telephone book. Other smartphones - including older Huawei smartphones - offer this filter option, here Huawei should update to fix it.

Good camera with 4K video recording

The two cameras of the Huawei nova are widely advertised and are to score with a good picture quality as well as a large range of functions.   The rear-view camera offers a resolution of 12 megapixels in a 4: 3 aspect ratio, and it does not stand out from the case, but fits seamlessly into the glass cover, which also incorporates an LED flash and the NFC antenna. Compared to other current mid-class smartphones, the picture quality can really be seen, not only in sufficient (daylight) light, but also in darker environments. The images are sharp and colors are displayed naturally. If you want to get more out of the camera, you just have to leave the automatic mode and then you can make various settings in professional mode. This includes, for example, the ISO value or the trip time. With a tripod you can for example also easily realize long-term exposures. The operation of the camera software is basically very simple and uncomplicated and in addition to the professional mode, there are many other functions, such as for panoramic, HDR or slow motion shooting.

The following photos were taken with the back camera of Huawei Nova. Clicking on the picture opens the original photo. Tip: best open in a new browser tab!

The Huawei nova together with the sister device nova Plus is the first Huawei smartphone, which can record video in 4K UHD resolution. Up to now, Huawei devices could record a maximum of 1080p (Full HD). However, you have to configure this in the settings, because the device is only set to 720p HD.

The front camera has a resolution of 8 megapixels in the 4: 3 aspect ratios and is very good for selfsies. The picture quality is good and the software gives you various possibilities to influence "your own appearance". For example, you can use a slider in 10 steps to adjust how much the image should be "after-treated". The higher grades seem to me very artificial. What I do not like is that both the frontcam and the rear camera are the 4: 3 image format of the sensors. Rather, the images are viewed directly on the smartphone display (16: 9 format), the PC screen (16: 9) or the TV (also 16: 9), but you have a black bar every time. Sure, you can adjust the image format manually in the settings, but then the full resolution of the sensor is not used and you have a smaller image section available.

LTE Cat7 with 300 MBit/s

The Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 chipset in the Huawei nova is a so-called SoC (system on a chip). In addition to the processor, further chipsets such as the modem are integrated. The modem is a Qualcomm Snapdragon X9, which supports not only GSM and UMTS with up to 42.2 Mbps but also LTE of category 7. With a suitable tariff, up to 300 MBit/s can be reached in the downlink, uplink theoretically up to 150 MBit/s are possible. The high LTE speed is made possible by the carrier aggregation technology, also known as channel bundling. This channel bundle can even be switched off in the settings of the Huawei nova - but there is no reason for the shutdown possibility.

The reception in my test was perfect, especially in the LTE network around 1800 megahertz, which is extensively developed. The Huawei nova is also available in a dual SIM version. Network operators and service providers, on the other hand, offer the single SIM version, which has also been used for this test. In the case of the dual SIM version, you have to decide between the use with two Nano SIM cards and the use of a MicroSD memory card, because memory card and second Nano SIM use the same slot. Also note: only one of the two SIM cards can be used with UMTS and LTE, the other card is limited to 2G/GSM.

The voice quality in the telephone was perfect, both directly at the ear as well as over the integrated loudspeaker. The loudspeaker is also good for music playback, it provides a loud and clear sound, without overstepping.

Of course, the Huawei nova also supports WLAN, but unfortunately only in the frequency range by 2.4 gigahertz. In the meantime, the support for dual-band WLAN in the 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz frequency range along with the current radio standard 802.11 ac would have been the case here for a high-level smartphone.

Battery pack

The battery in my test with normal to strong use always lasts a whole day, often even a little longer. For a full two days of use, it will be a bit tight, but for most users, the smartphone comes anyway every night, so the Huawei nova with its 3020 mAh capacity is definitely well equipped!  By the way, the USB type C plug eliminates the usual trouble with the connection, since the plug can be plugged in both directions, which one very fast to appreciate.

Huawei Nova could become a huge success for Huawei since compact smartphones are in high demand and the choice of such devices is manageable. The nova is perfectly processed, is very good in the hand and offers a very good price-performance ratio. In particular, the display and the camera are convincing and could be installed in a more expensive premium-class smartphone. It’s a pity that Huawei nova doesn’t support for WLAN in the 5 GHz frequency range and WLAN ac radio standard. Sometimes you may want the camera a slightly faster release time. At least the latter can might be improved through a firmware update in the future.

Actually, there is another mobile smartphone from huawei at the same level to Huawei nova: Honor 8. This provides even a little better equipment, however, is also slightly larger and has a glass back, so is more vulnerable to falls. If you want to know more Huawei new smartphones, welcome to check here:

Subsequently, the Aircard 785s mobile router is turned on and after a short boot process; the most important details are showed already on the color display. Here we find information about the battery level, network signal strength, the used data and also the Wireless Passkey, allowing us to connect our devices to the Netgear hotspot.

Once connected to the WiFi, users can log in the admin setting page through browsers. The AC785 can provide a guest network on request, so that any stranger did not have to be directly connected to the private network. The little device provides dual-band Wi-Fi for a maximum range and sends thus on 2.4 and 5 GHz.   I would naturally also insert a few screenshots, where you can see the nice interface. But if you want to do some settings, an administrator password is necessary. (Password). Once logged onto the network of AirCard, enter the admin, password and you will have the settings are listed pretty.

Apart the settings of the mobile hotspot from the browser, some basic settings can also be made easily via the mobile phone using the NETGEAR AirCard app.

Netgear Aircard 785s HOTSPOT

If you have a docking station for the aircard 785s, the aircard 785s could have LAN ports and antenna port, where user can connect an external MIMO antenna. On the hotspot located behind two flaps for the connections for the external antenna and the microUSB connector for use on the docking station.

The battery of Aircard 785s could work for 10 hours on a single charge according to the manufacturer. I personally don’t think the battery is enough in most cases, there are many 4G mobile hotspots from other vendors with large battery capacity, which can also charge other devices. The Huawei E5770, Huawei E5771 and ZTE MF903 are the typical models with large power so that they can work like a mobile power bank.

Netgear Aircard 785s (2)

In summary, we have to say that the Netgear Aircard 785s is not one of the cheapest, but it comes with some special features. Firstly LTE is supported on Cat4 with peak download speed to 150mbps. Secondly, multiple devices could connect to it for internet access. And the features of aircard 785s could meet all our requirements from the mobile router. The pity is the decent battery of netgear 785s.   Actually, there are many more new 4G mobile hotspots from Netgear, such as Aircard 810s (LTE Cat12, 600mbps) and Aircard 790s (LTE Cat6, 300Mbps). If you like them, welcome to check on

TP-LINK M7350 4G LTE Router Test

Every month, there are new models of 4G mobile routers available on the market. It is an interesting proposition especially in summer when we choose to have a vacation in different places. The mobile hotspot may not be necessary where there is access to a WiFi network. Everyone has a smartphone or tablet today and would like to use it even during the summer tour. However, if you want to save power for the phone, a 4G mobile router may be necessary. The router supports 4G LTE will provide quick internet access for several mobile devices. Such a device is TP-LINK M7350, which will tell you today.

The TP-Link M7350 router looks elegant. A small, rectangular design can be mistaken with a smartphone from a distance. Especially, the M7350 router is black. On the upper surface mounted display - it is not large, only 1.4 inch, but it is sufficient to provide information on the calls, battery status, and of course the menu. Under the display power button, it is shaped in such a way that it was easy to find it without looking at the router. On the top edge placed the start button menu, while the bottom has a microUSB port, by which the device can be charged.

As I mentioned, TP-Link M7350 router supports 4G LTE, and it have a memory card slot. Since it is a portable device, it’s also equipped with a battery. We will find them under the bottom cover. Unfortunately, the design is not very good, which will easily remove the cover. You have to gently pry and then we choose the battery, SIM card slot, and microSD card slot. The battery has a capacity of 2,550 mAh and can therefore provide a long service life for the router. TP-link M7350 is lightweight and small size, which allows put it into the pocket without problems (unless you walk in tight jeans).

The body material is made of good quality. I would prefer, however, the memory card slot was drawn out. If we want to change the memory card, we must remove the battery and disconnect the network. If a socket placed on the side, we could do it without interrupting operation. Of course, this is only useful if you frequently change (or want to change) memory card.

Check below the TP-Link M7350 Mobile Hotspot Features:

Network type FDD-LTE Cat4 (800/900/1800/2100/2600MHz) DC-HSP + / HSPA / UMTS (900 / 2100MHz) EDGE / GPRS / GSM (850/900/1800 / 1900MHz)
Ports 1 micro USB port to charge the device battery slot for a SIM card slot for Micro SD card
Buttons Switch Menu Button
Antenna Inside
Transmission speed Getting up to 150Mbit/s send up to 50Mbit/s
Power Built-in rechargeable battery 2550mAh
Dimensions (W x D x H) 106 × 66 × 16mm (4.2 × 2.6 × 0.6 inches)
Micro SD card reader up to 32 GB
Display Statistics data, the state of Wi-Fi network, number of users, the type of network (2G / 3G / 4G), signal strength, access to the Internet, the battery meter.

WiFi Frequency 2.4GHz and 5GHz
wireless standards IEEE 802.11a, IEEE 802.11b, IEEE 802.11g, IEEE 802.11n
EIRP <20dBm
Security of wireless transmission Hiding the SSID, MAC address filtering, encryption, WPA-PSK / WPA2-PSK
DHCP DHCP server, DHCP client list

Certifications CE, RoHS
Contents of the package Portable hotspot M7350, LTE-Advanced Micro USB cable adapter Micro SIM> Standard SIM Adapter Nano SIM> SIM Standard Power Installation
System requirements Windows 8/7 / Vista / XP, Mac OS, Android, iOS, Windows Phone

As you can see, the M7350 router does not support the latest standard 802.11ac, but allows you to work in the 2.4GHz or 5GHz network. It is very important that the first frequency is very popular, and in addition has a small number of channels, which can sometimes cause problems with coverage, interference, etc.. Of course, the main advantage is its support for 4G LTE networks and it could supports almost all the LTE networks in Europe and most carriers in Aisa. And up to 15 wireless devices could connect to TP-Link M7350 mobile 4G router.

And the higher speed transmission on 4G LTE network is also attractive. Based on LTE Cat5, TP-Link M7350 can achieve download speed to 150mbps and upload speed to 50Mbps. And 3G DC-HSPA+ and 2G GSM networks are backward compatible. If the 4G LTE network is not available, the router would automatically switch to 3G or 2G network. But before turning to the use and performance, one more feature should be remarked. I mentioned earlier that the router does not support the 802.11 ac. Why we are concerning on this feature, you should look at a table below:

Standard Transmission speed
802.11 n Getting to 150 Mbit/s
802.11 ac Downloading up to 500 Mbit/s
4G LTE Downloading up to 100 Mbit/s

Source: Wikipedia

As you can see "n" is enough to cover the demand on the transmission, and 4G technology is available at high speed. Of course you can argue that this is the theoretical speed, in extreme cases 4G may be faster than the WiFi. We still think the “AC” feature is very important for future.   Starting the TP-link M7350 router is very simple. After placing the SIM card in the device, simply press the power button. After a few seconds, the system will work, some may take longer to log on to the GSM network. WiFi connection is very simple - just select the appropriate option in the menu and all the information needed - SSID and security key to connect to the network, which will be displayed on the screen. Then you only need a browser, enter the corresponding IP address, enter your login and password (the default is admin / admin) and can do all the settings for the router.

Interface prepared by the manufacturer is very simple. In the upper part, there is a bar, which is equipped with icons that quickly inform us about the state of the battery, received SMS, connected devices, etc. Following are the main menu consists of four positions: Wizard, Status, SMS and Advanced. With their help, we can run the setup wizard, check the status of calls and statistics, see SMS and ... ultimately configure the router. When selected, on the left it will display a new menu, which allows you to set network security, DHCP, restore factory settings, etc.

Tests conducted using a SIM card with the Vodafone network. The wireless connection listed the notebook Dell Vostro. Below I present the results of measurements, but notes that the result may be different from other places. The link speed depends on the level of the network in place in which to combine. And the distance between users and the M7350 Router, the speed also varies. The farther you move away from the router, the transmission speed will be lower. Throughput tested by sending files with 1GB and 4GB. The achieved results presented in high speed on LTE network.

As you can see, the results achieved are not bad. Compared to stationary routers that have external antennas offering improved efficiency in promoting and receiving radio waves, TP-link M7350 mobile router performed not quite bad, especially in the short run, and it performs better than 4G USB modems with whom I had so far to deal with.

When testing the performance, we connect the M7350 router with mentioned the notebook, two Samsung smartphones (Galaxy S6 and Galaxy S5) and two Huawei new smartphones (Huawei Nova and Honor V8) through WiFi. For all devices I browsed the Internet, download files, and I played video on YouTube. I did not notice any special delays. The tests I conducted both in the open areas and in the rooms. In any case, I had a stable connection.

At the end, we note just the battery. As I have written before the battery has a capacity of 2550 mAh, which is quite a few. Since 4G is faster standard, users have great demand for a larger battery. Many other TP-Link’s competitors in China had presents the new 4G pocket WiFi with very power capacity, the new pocket WiFi can even charge other electronics, which is very very attractive and useful feature. The typical models include Huawei E5770 Mobile WiFi Pro, Huawei E5771 MiFi Plus and ZTE MF903 Mobile Router etc..

TP-LINK M7350 is a good 4G mobile router, which it is worth to obtain. It is true that it is not cheap, but will provide fast transmission speed as the manufacturer promised. Simple connection to the network, a simple menu, simple and fast interface, all this translates into a simple operation. It could be a good partner for business trip or outdoor activities!

Huawei E5377 4G Mobile Hotspot Test

Mobile routers are now very fashionable. It is true that we can connect to the network using smartphones and tablets, however, there are still many users who having computers would like to use mobile routers to connect to the Internet. Since many users expect more from the mobile routers, the manufacturers of mobile routers supplied new models with new functions. Huawei E5377 4G hotspot is one of them.

The Huawei E5377 router is a real pocket router. The manufacturer has equipped it a LED display, and next to LED display on the right side is a big switch. The top edge of the body is the menu button, while at the bottom microUSB slot and two antenna connectors covered flap are placed. Remove the rear cover, plug in a valid SIM card and insert the battery. Then we can get connected with internet.

The Huawei E5377 hotspot is very light and fits comfortably in your hand. The body has a special groove that facilitates its opening. The whole is well matched; there are no gaps, no creaks. The white color looks elegant, but I have a feeling that quickly loses its charm after a few trips in your pocket. Unfortunately, the white body gets dirty easily turning to gray. Especially since the material used is rough, making it easier to absorb dust and pollen. I personally like the black color, which is also recommended by Huawei.

As can be seen, Huawei E5377 router can handle both 3G and LTE. The difference between these technologies laid primarily in the transfer data rates. In the case of LTE, the speed can be several times higher than in the 3G (LTE, currently can achieve up to 55 ~ 85Mbps), the theoretical standard specification provides for even more than double the download speed to 150Mbps. The E5377 router can install a memory card of up to 32GB. This way we can use it, for example. As a memory stick, the contents of which we can share with other users. And maximum of 10 users could get connected with the E5377 hotspot through WiFi. The equipped battery in E5377 already wrote. The manufacturer says that it is sufficient for 6 hours operation. Reading the rest of the text, you will find out how the E5377 performs.

Let's see the user interface. The Huawei E5377 router can be setup in two ways: through the menu and the power buttons on the wireless router, or through the Web browser. The latter method (or browser) is definitely easier to use while offering more options, which is recommended. Just run the router, enter the password for the network (the default SSID is HUAWEI-E5377-XXX) that are on the label under the battery, enter the address into your browser: ... and that's it. You can also download the Huawei Mobile WiFi APP for Android or iOS to setup the Huawei E5377 Router.

The interface is very easy to use, although I admit that it could work a little faster. Some pages refresh slowly, but enough to do common settings. The application is very simple, and consists of a main menu in the upper part of the window, pop-up menu on the left and the main window where you set the individual parameters. The launch window is equipped with three large buttons, which can enable or disable the router, stop cellular data transmission, and enable/disable WiFi. At any time by selecting Statistics, you can check the amount of data sent and received, check out who is connected to the network, etc. Prepared menu also allows you to send and read SMS messages.

The most important item on the menu are the Settings. This is where you configure network access, sharing WiFi, Ethernet settings (one can use the USB - LAN), etc.. The manufacturer has not forgotten the safety at different levels, we can verify your MAC Address, IP, etc. There are of course several custom functions such as the ability to prioritize users, the ability to define a virtual server. We also have a NAT, UPnP, DMZ ... if you think this is not enough, but we need not everything if we use the router as a temporary Internet source during a weekend trip out of town. Actually, I would like to recommend use the main stationary router access to the network at home rather huawei E5377.

The already mentioned Menu and Power buttons also enable us to navigate through it - to select various options and approve them. Using this software, we can switch the operation of the device mode 2.4GHz to 5 GHz. We can also check the settings of the wireless network, such as its SSID, password and IP address of the router, you can start the WPS function and set E5377 to the operation extender whether to enable or disable data roaming. We also have the ability to reset the router. What interesting is the ability to display 2D code (QR Code), with which we can quickly enter the security code network, or run applications that allows device management from a smartphone equipped with Android system. The menu is simple, fast, and easy to understand and do settings.

Huawei E5377 looks elegant, fits in your pocket, and is easy to use. Here now there are many new successors available with better technologies such as Huawei E5786 or Huawei E5787. If you don’t have high demand for the pocket WiFi, huawei E5377 is recommend as a budget mobile partner!
